So…living in your hometown has its perks. One of my former teachers is organizing a big (big in a small town anyways) fashion show for a grad fundraiser and it occurred to me that it might be fun to get my handbags into it. I remember being a model in the same show way back when. I now have 10 models to dress (yikes!) and so I branched out into clothing design to give them something to wear along with the handbags! So far it has been a lot of fun, and I am enjoying the new creative challenge. We do have a lot of people asking if I make anything in adult sizes, so I thought that some funky summer tops might be a nice addition to the store collection anyways. The show is March 11 and 12, and if you are local and interested in coming you can get tickets by calling Correlieu Secondary (992-7007). I am going to keep the designs to myself until after the show, so you will just have to hang tight for pictures….or come to the show!
We are also changing our hours starting March 3 which means you can stop by Tuesday to Friday between 12-6pm. Coffee is always on if you want to come by for a visit! I am planning to be in the shop Tuesdays and Fridays and Cindy is here the rest of the time. See you soon!

So, this little reversible cutie made it into the shop last week. I think its around a size 2 or so. The white and blue side is one of a kind, and has nice detailing around the bottom. If Stella was closer to being able to wear this I would be tempted to keep it since it is totally one of a kind and I love the colours. I can’t keep everything though….so…lucky for you!
This handbag is made from a nice kind of tweedy soft wool blend and has a solid brown lining. It is quite roomy on the inside, but doesn’t seem bulky when it is empty, making if fairly versatile I think.
Also new this month are some wall pockets like the one above, some cushions and other home items. It is a bit of an experiment, so I would love any feedback on these items since you have such excellent taste!
Starting this week we are also carrying select types of yarn for any crafty types out there who are looking for an alternative to what Wal-mart carries.
Well….I think that’s all for tonight. I will be at the shop on Thursday and Friday, 1-ish until 6. Come by for a coffee and a chat if you feel so inclined!
